Taking ownership of core platform functionality, productionisation, robustness, scalability and long-term product development.

A hands-on, experienced engineer who can take ownership of core LEWES platform capability and help mature it into a robust, scalable and maintainable production product. The person should be comfortable working across product software, edge infrastructure and integrations rather than within a narrowly defined application layer.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and experiencedelivering and operating production systems.
  • Evidence of technical ownership across design,implementation, testing, release and support.
  • Experience improving reliability, maintainability,performance and scalability.
  • Modern engineering practices including source control, peerreview, automated testing, CI/CD and observability.
  • Strong diagnostic skills across software, Linux, networkingand infrastructure boundaries.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and workwith hardware, integration and operational colleagues.

Desirable Skills

  • Python, Linux, containers, APIs and distributed ornetworked systems.
  • Edge compute, device or fleet management, autonomoussystems, sensing platforms or robotics.
  • Resilient networking, remote deployment, video orsensor-data pipelines.
  • Engineering mentorship, architecture ownership or emergingTeam Lead experience.
